Defence officials say the United Kingdom, along with France, is helping to build a coalition of countries to help secure Hormuz Strait “s or allow conditions”.
The United Kingdom has offered to organise a security conference on the key channel for global oil shipments to Portsmouth or London in the near future to develop plans, reports the BBC, broadcast Klankosova.tv.
Officials say each mission will seek a Navy coalition to provide security for commercial ships, but stressed that any plans to accompany the tanks will be detected by the threat, which is currently too high.
Officials say they will seek a multinational solution involving ships with crews and autonomous ships to help open a safe passage route and face threat of mines.
A defence official says he believes reports that several mines were located “are true, but added that shipping corridors in the Hormuz Strait were still open and were being used by a small number of tankers.
