Convinced that the suspects had just amassed drugs, the Carabinieri followed them and stopped them near the payment point of the Orte Highway in the Viterboro area while traveling along the E45 Highway to Romegna.
A search of vehicles and persons in it found 2.5kg of cocaine, over 4,000 euros in cash and three mobile phones. All the material was seized, including the car.
