The ministry has suggested that the first confirmed case has been identified on March 3, 2026, to a farmer in the village of Lubish, the municipality of the Year.
“In line with current legislation and relevant administrative instruction, the Food and Vetina Agency (AUV) is operating within the legal deadlines set for the company of relevant measures, including the process of annihilation of infected animals”, the report said.
According to legal provisions, the elimination of confirmed animals with these diseases takes place within a term of up to 30 days of confirmation date. In this context, all institutional actions are being carried out in full compliance with this timeline, ensuring controlled and secure management of the situation.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, in close co-operation with the Food and Veterina Agency (AUV), remain committed to full implementation of legal and professional measures for the prevention and control of these diseases, and remain committed to preserving public health and ensuring food security in the country.
