Zelensky: The US wants Russia and Ukraine to end the war by summer

In a statement to reporters issued by his office on Saturday, Zelenskiy said Washington had proposed a new round of talks between Kiev and Moscow that would be held in Miami within a week and that Kiev had agreed to that, Reuters writes, broadcast Periscopi.

The “Americans are proposing that the parties complete the war before the start of this summer and will likely pressure the parties to stick to this” schedule, Zelensky said.

The “elections (of the mid-term congress) are certainly more important to them. Let's not be naive. And they say they want to finish everything by June”.
