The tragedy in Prekaz on March 5,6 and 7th 1998 has not been an isolated act, but the continuation of massacres committed by Serbian forces. Such acts of terror overcame the normal fear of the common people, and the fear of politicians and intellectuals in Kosovo. Terror and massacres like those in Serbenica had begun to occur in our country as well. I couldn't stand inexert while my people were facing destruction, my life had meaning only if my people could live in freedom, so I returned to Kosovo”.
