Vetevendosje MP Faton Geci voiced his opposition to doubling financial support for the four of the former KLA leaders, saying they cannot be considered state founders.
“They are not founders of the state. As deputy Tahiri said, since it is in conclusion, I do not consider it reasonable to continue for their defence”, Geci said during the session.
Meanwhile, the deputy of The PDK, Bedri Tahiri, retorted, stressing that the question of who is the founder of the state of Kosovo belongs to history, while additional support for former KLA leaders is needed.
“As for the founders' case, I think it's history and a glorious part. February 17th is the eternal date and is known who has declared independence. They need extra support. It does not directly influence within Kosovo, but it is something society must support”, Tahiri said, the KP reports.
Support for this amendment also gave AAK deputy Daut Haradinaj, who described additional support as the state's <x0-cyclusion> for the four-quarters KLA”.
