Former Trump advisor and Epstein planned “to bring down” Pope Francis

Message notes, persistence and communications in 2019 indicate that Bannon, after leaving the Trump administration, has communicated with Epstein to underestimate and undermine Pope Francis's position, writes CNN.

Bannon was a fierce critic of Pope Francisescu, whom he viewed as opposing political ideas oriented about nationalism and populism. In one of the messages to Epstein, Bannon wrote that “would tear Francescu” down.

He perceived the Pope as an obstacle to expanding his ideological vision and, according to the documents, used the debate about the book “In the Cullet of the Vatican” of French journalist Frederick Martel, who highlighted internal affairs of the Catholic Church, reports Telegraph, broadcast Periscope.

Experts who commented on CNN estimate Bannon sought to instrumentalise religion and the Pope's figure for political purposes, an approach that, according to critics, represents an effort to exploit religious feelings to strengthen his agendas.

The published documents are part of a broader justice ministry file on Epstein's relations and communications with various public and political figures, even after his conviction for sexual crimes. /Periscope/
