Suspected ties with Jeffrey Epstein following the arrest of Prince Andrew of detailed checks on two of his property

Police disclosed that a man in his mid-60s remains in custody and that the investigation has been opened after a “complete assessment of” of the evidence. Authorities stressed that since the issue is active, caution should be taken to avoid ignoring the court.

In an official reaction, Charles III stated that the “law should follow its own path” and that police have “its full and wholehearted support and cooperation”.

According to police, the arrest is not linked to any charge of sexual offense. However, the investigation comes after reviewing communications published by US authorities linked to the late director Jeffrey Epstein. The documents allegedly contain information exchanges between the doubles, including material that may have been confidential.

The authorities had also earlier announced that they were assessing specific claims regarding a second woman suspected of being sent to the United Kingdom in 2010 for a meeting with Andrew. He has repeatedly and strongly denied all charges of wrongdoing.
