SPAK intensifys investigation into Belinda Balluk, prosecutors request information on her property

The Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor (SPAK) has intensified investigations of Albanian Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluk, charged with abuse of tenders in the Llogara Tunnel and the Grand Ring. According to sources provided by journalist Klodiana Lala, prosecutors have sought information on Balluk's property in several second-level banks.

“Over the past few days, investigations are under way concerning Balluk's wealth and special prosecutors have addressed a series of paperwork to assisting institutions, such as second-level banks, cadastre or other institutions, to receive information concerning Balluk's wealth, but also persons associated with”, Lala said.

According to her, “following the collection of all information will also have a record of criminal prosecution regarding the property investigation”.

Lala says that by this moment some information has been provided by the second-level bank as well as requested information near I LKPDI.

“are very carefully examining mobile phones and evidence provided during the checks conducted on various businesses to see if data will be found that can help in the enriching survey of Balluk”, Lala said.

As far as the criminal case is concerned, SPAK sources for journalist Lala are investigating all companies that turn out to have won tenders for which Balluk is convicted or under investigation.

After the raids, SPAK has received all balances, shopping books to see if there are allegations of corruption regarding predestination of these tenders. It's about a volume file”, Lala said.
