Data from survey “ESTUDES 2025” of the Ministry of Health show that 38.4% of students 14%18 have consumed energy drinks over the last month, at the highest rate in boys.
According to Agence Española de Seguridad Alimentaria y Nurtición (AESAN), 25% of the population consumes energy beverages an average of 2.1 times a week, while 47% of consumers mix them with alcohol, which increases the risk of drunkenness and cardiovascular problems.
