Monday Budget Bill hearing postponed

Following discussions with parliamentary chiefs of groups, Parliament Speaker Albulen Haxhiu has announced that the budget session has been postponed for Monday by 10:00.

The first reading budget vote for 2026 met with opposition from opposition parties, which required more time to read the 700-page document.

 Opposition MPs have said they should read the document to have the opportunity to make proposals.

Haxhiu later called for consultation with the parliamentary chiefs and decided to postpone the session.

The PDK's (PDK) supports the procedure for the budget draft vote, Tahiri: It takes at least three days to read it.
