France's President Emmanuel Macron has sent a letter of congratulations to President Vjosa Osmani on the 18th anniversary of Kosovo's Independence.
In his letter, Macron has said normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia remains a European security issue, and that France supports dialogue facilitated by the Evripian Union.
He has declared that the Brussels and Ohrid Agreements have defined direction, thus as belonging to the two sides to implement.
“Based on our common values, in areas as diverse as olympism, Francophony or promotion of women's rights, I hope that our co-operation can be developed in key areas for Kosovo's future, including through strengthening our economic exchanges”, says the Macron letter.
Macron has said that the reunification of our continent passes through the membership of Western Balkan countries in the European Union.
“Facing world disorder and brutality, unity of our continent must remain our common priority”, Macron stressed. /Periscopi/
