The Kosovo Assembly today has adopted the resolution proposed by the Democratic Party of Kosovo in support of KLA leaders being tried in The Hague, with 90 votes for, one against and no abstention. However, its approval was preceded by a severe clash between the two main opposition parties.
Although the resolution passed by 90 votes, the LDK parliamentary group refused to participate in the vote, after their proposal to complete the text was rejected.
The head of the LDK Parliamentary Group, Jehona Lushaku-Sadriou, said from the speaker that her party had agreed that the resolution would be put in order day, but not with its current content.
The LDK conditioned its vote with the involvement of a clause requiring justice for the political killings in Kosovo.
