Kurti meets former ICTY prosecutor: ZKM details what they discussed about the Special Court and former KLA leaders

During the meeting, issues that are related to international law and the support the executive is offering, within the legal framework, the indictees of this court, while Nice former prosecutor at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in the case against Slobodan Milosevic, expressed readiness to continue co-operation in the future.
“Sir Geoffrey Nice is a lawyer and internationally recognised lawyer, with a long career in the area of international criminal law and international public law. He has served as prosecutor at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), where he has led the prosecution in the case against Slobodan Milosevic. His extensive experience in dealing with international crimes, state responsibility and complex legal issues has made him one of the most respected names in this area. He has also advised earlier governments of the Republic of Kosovo regarding a host of judicial issues that concern international law”, said in the union.

“during the appointment, Prime Minister Kurti and Mr. Nice discussed his previous co-operation with the Government of Kosovo, as well as a host of topics that are related to international law and the functioning of the Special Court. In particular, the prime minister informed Mr. Nice for the government of Kosovo's until now efforts to support, in different forms and within the legal framework, the accused of this Court. For his part, Mr. Nice expressed readiness to continue co-operation with the Government of Kosovo in the future as well”.
