Our stance on international forces is clear: we want peacekeeping forces to monitor the ceasefire, ensure its implementation and serve as neutralising between the invading army and our people at the Gaza Strip, without interfering with the internal affairs of Gaza”, he has declared, reports TCh, broadcast Periscope.
The statement comes after the first Peace Board meeting in Washington, whose members pledged to provide billions of dollars for the reconstruction of Gaza, and some such as Kosovo and Albania, will also send troops as part of a stabilisation force.
“The Peace Board” is an initiative announced by US President Donald Trump and presented as an international mechanism to co-ordinate efforts to stabilise and rebuild, especially after the war in Gaza following the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.
Trump has been announced chairman of the Board, which means he will continue to control this organisation even after leaving as president. /Periscope.
