KLA quarter says final words today

The quarter of the Kosovo Liberation Army today means their final words.

Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi have 20 minutes each for statements.

Today, large numbers of family members are expected to attend the public gallery inside the Special Building.

Deputy Prime Minister Glauk Konjufca will also attend this session, which will be declared for the media before entering the Specialised Chambers.

The hearing will begin at 09 o'clock, where the defenders of the victims have requested 20 minutes for final statements, then it is expected that the defense teams will address the court in 30 minutes.

The court will then have three months to make the final decision, and if necessary, it will take additional time.

This is expected to happen due to the volume file.

The closing statements began with February 9th, last Monday.

The trial of the KLA's four quarters has been initiated on April 3, 2023, nearly three years after confirming the indictment since former KLA leaders are held at The Hague detention centre. /Periscope
