According to sources, IRC officers, some of whom recently arrived in Lebanon from Iran, have been tasked with rebuilding Hezbollah's military capabilities and personally informing Hezbollah fighters throughout Lebanon, writes Times of Israel.
They add that IRC officers were meeting with members of the Hezbollah missile unit at a place in Lebanon Valley that was bombed by Israel last night, amid a wave of air strikes that injured at least 50 people and killed 12 others, including a senior Hezbollah officer, who targeted what the IDF called Hamas and Hezbollah command centres in Lebanon.
A broader Israeli military offensive against Hezbollah is just a matter of time, said Hezbollah-related sources, reports Telegrafi, broadcast Periscope.
Meanwhile, Lebanese anti-Hozballah media, Nidaa al-Watan, quoted “distinguished political sources” in the country, which say Beirut should declare its neutrality in the event of a US-Iran war and refuse to allow Hezbollah to put Lebanon into war with Israel.
The Ynet news site reported this week that Iran was pressuring Hezbollah to fight alongside him in the event of a war with Israel.
Hezbollah's leader, Naim Qasssem, said last month that the group would not be neutral in the event of a war, but did not openly threaten Israel. /Periscope/
