Defence seeks innocence for Jakup Krasniqi: Evidence on alleged charges

On Kosovo Specialised Chambers In The Hague, defence lawyer Venkateswari Alagedra has launched the final word in the case of Jakup Krasniqi, asking the court for his innocent announcement.

Before the tribunal, Alagedra stated that many of the claims involved in previous reports were, according to her, <x0-hypperbolistic” and did not lead to concrete charges.

She stressed that in this judicial process there is no charge of organ trafficking, and that, according to her, the cited reports include no allegations of criminal acts committed by Krasniqi.

Many of the hyperbolic claims involved in that report have not led to the raising of charges. As you know, you have no charge of organ trafficking here before this court, and this report does not include any allegations of criminal acts committed by Jakup Krasniqi.

One thing is clear, five years ago, Jakup Krasniqi has been arrested and freed. He has remained in the detention facility for 1,126 days, away from his wife, four children, and eleven grandchildren.

We respectfully suggest that you, the court's honor, make an innocent decision on all charges brought against Jakup Krasniqi. At the end of the presentation, we're going to call on you to report Mr. Krasniqi. Allow this 75-year-old to return to his family and spend the years that God has assigned him to his family, Alagedra said.
