The education director in the Pristina municipality, Samir Sahin, has said there is no cut in classes, but only adaptation of holidays where there is opportunity. Sahin said there are schools that cannot abide by that decision.
The education director in the Pristina municipality, Samir Sahini, speaking of Radio Kosovo, says there is no cut in classes, but only adaptation to start learning, to create facilities this month, Periscope follows.
We don't have less hours, we have the same number of classes and minutes. There's been an adjustment starting the lesson a little earlier and finishing it a little earlier. The important thing is that the great mass of teachers and students have this schedule within them. We're talking about a very small number of classes that will fit because others also finish teaching at 16:30. We have a few different days or classes that last a little longer, until the rest end at 16:30 and there is no need for interference”, Sahin said.
Sahin said there are some schools that cannot follow this decision until he explained the reasons.
“We have 3 or 4 school exemptions that are impossible to implement. It's about school, "Jevdet Doda" which, due to the long hours of both school shifts, cannot be cut short without losing classes, which we've been determined we cannot do. On the other hand, we have several other schools that have cycles of 6, 7 and 9, morning and afternoon, such as the Kemalimail, the former goal of evvdet Dodaú, which serves school students Fyik Konicaão and Jjajel Mustafacom. So there are some specific schools that have been affected by this, but in large measure most schools, where there is opportunity, have adjusted this time without a problem”, he added.
This is the first time that the Directorate of Education in the capital makes such a decision. Sahin said that this year they have been able to make such a decision, but next year they will see what fasting times will be like and whether they can adjust the decision by not damaging the learning process.
