Chamber of Commerce: Blockades from the Law on Public Property Are Risking Business and Workplaces

He has said the blockade has reduced business economic power, jeopardised large numbers of workers, price hikes, economic and economic growth of imports from Serbia and Northern Macedonia, as well as other chain problems, said among other communities.

Kosovo's Chamber of Commerce and Industry has expressed deep concern for numerous problems, as a result of the long blockade caused by the Law on Public Property.

The executive director, Kuqim Ahmeti, has said the long institutional crisis has deepened even more problems for large numbers of companies.

He has said the blockade has reduced the economic power of businesses, jeopardised large numbers of workers, price hikes, and economic growth of imports from Serbia and Northern Macedonia, as well as other chain problems.

Ahmeti added that many companies have already given up increasing investments in Kosovo, others are looking for investments abroad, and a negative message for foreign investment is being delivered.

At the meeting, board member Idriz Zejnullahu and the two working group members, Faton Nuredini and Binak Kaluldra, have presented details about the problems the blockade has caused the mining sector.

Those present have agreed to the urgent need in companies of measures to change the Public Property Law.
