AUV explains that the application of the chip is once a procedure, and the animal holds the chip for the rest of its life.
“Microchip is the basis for determining the ownership of domestic animals, providing time and quality health care for animals, and for greater security for owners, from the transmission of infectious diseases from animals to humans. Owners who have already microchiped their pets are reminded of the legal obligation to report any change of data to the animal or to the owner to the competent veterinary association, which should update the electronic database”, say AUV.
The Food and Veterinary Agency points out that death, loss, or sale of animals should be recorded on the database.
“Miculating domestic animals is aimed at permanent identification of animals, preventing them from abandoning them, and controlling their breeding, as well as facilitating their findings in the event of loss or theft”, AUV reports. /Periscope
