The action on Appeals, puts the inscription “The Court of Appeals Excuses and rewards the abusers of girls and women”

The Pristina Council of Thought and Feminist Action held an action in response to the release of the prosecution for police accused of multiple sexual abuse of the young girl from Drenas in 2019 and return to work. This Kolestier requires the Court that the officer back at work [...]
This Kolestier asks the Court for the return police officer to leave because as they point out, the same poses a double risk for every girl and woman in official uniform.
Until the doors of the Court of Appeals have placed a banner inscribed “The Court of Appeals excuses and rewards the abusers of girls and women”
The data on the news was suggested that the Court of Appeals in Pristina has ruled that, in addition to releasing the police accused of multiple sexual abuse of the minor girl from Drenas in 2019, to pay her more than 45 thousand euros in wages, trust and legal interest, and return her to work. This decision, which has been passed quietly in 2024, presents alarm for our collective security as girls and women. It is frightening for us to learn that the accused of sexual abuse of a minor girl, except she has been released, to continue working in the Kosovo Police, which is the first address for reporting violence. This excuse and reward for abusers further fosters the distrust, fear, and reluctance that girls and women have to report to institutions of violence. As police, courts, and other public institutions accommodate sexual abusers, we cannot be safe anywhere. So revolted/a, from this court, we demand that the officer back at work leave work being the same as represents double risk for every girl and woman in official uniform. We seek and call collective action against this excusing practice, which is rating violence on our bodies. Aware of the ostentatious risk that permeates our lives, we, besides our watchfulness, also seek solidification and social organization to withstand the many attacks we face. Only through solidification, rejection of institutionalized patriarchal violence and extended social organisation can we protect our troops against this patriarchal state”, the media community says.
