The new images seem to indicate the moment when a Palestinian activist was killed, while an Israeli colony shot at him during a confrontation with unarmed Palestinians in the West Coast occupied last month.

The video, published Sunday by B'Tselem, an Israeli human rights group, shows the Israeli colony Yinon Levi shooting at the person filming.

The images stop, but the camera keeps shooting as the person groans with pain, reports Telegraph, broadcast Periscope.

B'Tselem says he took the video from Awdah Hathaleen's family, 31, an activist, English teacher and father of three, who was shot and killed on July 28, and who they said had filmed.

Levi, who is shown shooting twice in a video shot by another witness and taken by The Associated Press, was detained briefly and later released from house arrest by an Israeli court, which cited lack of evidence.

The shooting occurred at Umm al-Khair, a village that has long experienced the violence of settlers in an area presented in the Oscar “award winner film No Other Earth”.

Column attacks on Palestinians have increased since the Israeli-Haams war broke out, as have attacks by Palestinian militants.

“The murder of Awdah is another terrible example of both Palestinians and the West Coast, currently live without any protection, fully exposed to Israeli violence, while Israeli soldiers or settlers can kill them in broad daylight and enjoy full impunity as the world looks at”, said Sarit Michael, director of international contacts for B&wellem.

Levi was previously under US sanctions that were removed from the Trump administration.

Both videos appear to indicate the same confrontation between Levi and a group of Palestinians. The previous video shows him firing twice from a gun, but it doesn't show where the bullets hit. Several witnesses had told him The AP saw Levi shoot Hathaleen.

Avichai Haybi, a lawyer representing Levi, told the AP that Levi acted in self-defense without specifying what his actions were. Hajbi noted a court ruling earlier this month that freed Levi from domestic arrest, citing insufficient evidence. The judge said Levi was not a danger justifying continuing house arrest, but prevented him from contacting the villagers for a month.

B'Tselem said Levi was with a team that brought an excavor from a nearby settlement to Umm al-Khair. Residents, fearing to wait for the main line of water in the village, gathered on a street with and blocked its way, and at least one individual threw a stone into the vehicle's front window. /Periscope/
