Energy price growth affected construction costs

Compared to the first quarter of 2025, the construction cost has increased by 0.7%. The main contributions to this growth come from energy +5.5%, wages: +2.0%, transport: +1.8%, other costs: +1.3%, +1.0% machines and +0.3% materials.
And compared to the same period last year, IKN is up 4.0%.
The most pronounced returns are recorded in energy: +26,9%, wages: +6,7%, other costs: +3,7%, materials: +3.5%, transport: +3,4%, machinery: +0,7%. The significant increase in energy costs remains a major factor that is significantly affecting the overall increase in construction costs, reflecting continued pressures on the market. This index presents a key indicator for economic developments and directly affects the planning of infrastructure and private investment projects in construction of”, the ASS report said. /KP/
