Bajram Shalaku says Dimal Basha is the right and necessary choice. According to him, Basha has the right academic training to be in that position.
Unlike Shalaku, citizen Hakif Hajdini says the choice of Dimal Basha has been very relaxed, as according to him, he has used harsh vocabulary in the past.

Following the election of Dimal Basha as head of parliament, the media reported a 2012 scientific paper bearing his name as coauthor, which reportedly contains writings against the Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK).
After that, there were many reactions from other political subjects and war-free organisations. The KLA veterans' organisation requested Basha's dismissal. Even AAK deputy Lahi Brahimaj expressed regret over his vote for Basha, saying he had not known of the existence of this work and that, if he had been informed, he would not have voted for.
In response to the criticism, Kosovo Assembly Speaker Dimal Basha said that in his 2012 investigation, he has not written a letter concerning the Kosovo Liberation Army. Basha said she has responsibilities only, as he put it, on the topic related to fundamentalist Islam in Kosovo.

Dimal Basha, born in 1979 in Pristina, lives in Ferizaj, has been elected Kosovo Assembly MP three times. Previously, he was a member of the Parliamentary Commission for Foreign Affairs, the Commission for Legislation, the Commission for AKI Supervision and the Commission for Stabilisation and Association.
According to the biography published on the official website of Vetevendosje Movement, Dimal Basha completed high studies in “John Jay College of Criminal Justice” in New York, graduating with the highest rating in the direction of “E International Criminal Rights.” It writes that Basha has also completed master's studies on international relations, with a focus on “Conflict and Security,” at the New School University, also in New York. And as many as he had been a student in Kosovo, he had admitted that he had failed the test on biology classes.
