Over 1 million employed at 2024 in Albania, mostly in tourism and agriculture

During 2024, there were about 1.2 million employed persons in Albania. Compared to 2023, the number has increased by 2%, while the unemployed had 110 thousand.
The service sector and the agricultural sector had the highest percentage of employees, while high-employment circles were Kukes and Gjirokastra, writes Euronews.al, broadcast Clankosova.tv.
Lezha and Vlora, on the other hand, had the lowest employment rate.
INSTAT analysis also issues the average gross wage in the state and private, which last year was 77 thousand and 500 lek, with annual growth of about 10%.
The highest-wage employees in our country last year were managers, lawmakers, senior state administration officials, leaders in the Armed Forces, and even employees in the Information and Communications Sector.
