XC60 is currently the second best-selling US brand model, representing over 33% of sales.
By June alone, over 21,900 units -- an increase of 22.9% compared to a year ago -- were sold.
The factory will produce the milk-hybrid versions and the hybrid plow of the model.
Volvo CEO Hékan Samuelsson said this decision would strengthen the company's position on the American market.
He added that this shows Volvo's long-term commitment to the US, where this year celebrates the 70th anniversary of her presence.
