The Slovenian energy trade trial with the company is given the opening words by the Special Prosecutor and Nagip Krasniqi

Nagip Krasniqi, charged with misuse of official office, has not pleaded guilty even at the trial hearing in 03.07.2025 over the prosecution's impeachment.

“Absolutely innocent”- was Krasniqi's statement when asked by the judge, Arben Hoti, how his statement stands on the prosecution's claims.

Krasniqi by the Special Prosecutor is accused of trading electricity with a Slovenian company that was not licensed in Kosovo.

In this regard, the Special Prosecutor has presented the opening words where the Court has said it would abide at the end of the process that Krasniqi is guilty and that criminal act has committed it deliberately.

The prosecution's charge burdens Krasniqi that the Kosovo Energy Corporation has been harmed over 3m euros after the Office for Electrical Energy Regulatory had fined it KEK with 3.2m euros, as a result of Krasniqi's actions.

In terms of this claim, prosecutor Dren Paca said Krasniqi had deliberately enabled Holding Slovenenske to power trade, though he was informed by Z. RRE and KEK's legal office, which had suggested that electricity trading be cut off with this company.

In the end Paca said that after the witness hearing, and after the evidence the prosecution has for this case is seen and examined, it will prove that Kransiqi has committed the criminal act for which he is also charged.

Ibrahimaga said that, the Slovenian company has not imported electricity to Kosovo, which also finds support in the contract, which was made in this case, after the sale of goods (electric energy) was done outside Kosovo.

In addition to the prosecution's claim that the Slovenian company has not been licensed in Kosovo, said a company dealing with merchandise trading in this case is not necessarily licensed in Kosovo.

According to him, licensing is not necessary, since the ZRRE law recognises licenses of licensed economic operators and is part of the Evriopian Union's Electrical Energy Treaty.

Ibrahimaga said ZRRE had been fined KEC with 3.2m euros, but the case is still in the Court, arguing and there is no final decision on the case.

Finally Ibrahimaga said Krasniqi would come out innocent of this case.

According to an indictment device provided by KA LLXO.comKrasniqi is accused of enabling energy to trade a Slovenian company in Kosovo, which had no license, thus damaging KEK to an estimated 3m and 230 thousand euros.

“ ... so that they deliberately approve of purchases, signed contracts and authorized their signature, and confirms continuing to trade with the operator in question, even though it was aware that electricity could not be traded with this operator until it was licensed or was not recognised as license by the Energy Regulatory Office”

According to the indictment, these actions enabled the company from Slovenia “Holding Sloveneske Electrice” HSE electricity trading in the Republic of Kosovo,

Among other things, the finding points out that the same benefits are allowed, as well as avoiding tax payments, damaging Kosovo's state budget worth 531,920.79 euros.
