By next month, the minimum age will be 16, for all who want to transmit live content without an adult presence, Telegrafi reports.
In a release published on the platform's support page, YouTube confirmed that by July 22nd, any creator to broadcast directly must be at least 16.
Previously, YouTube demanded that children under 13 be accompanied by an adult, but this rule will now apply to youths aged 13 to 15.
This measure will affect users under the age of 16, who will be able to broadcast only if an adult gives them access as editor, manager or owner of the channel connected.
If these users continue to broadcast without the presence of an adult after July 22nd, they could be prevented from using the direct conversation option and other aspects of their channels could be suspended.
The platform warns that it will continue to monitor the content that violates these rules and that any attempts to bypass these measures could lead to permanent eliminating of the account.
Creators affected by this change will be announced via email if their live transmission is removed. /Periscopi/
