The Albanian MP in Serbia's Parliament, Shaip Kamberi, has held a meeting with Finland's ambassador to Germany, Kai Sauer, within an official visit to Berlin.
The meeting comes at a time when Finland is expected to take over the OSCE chairmanship, a key human rights organisation and monitoring the situation in the region.
Kamberi stressed the importance of this meeting to articulate the need for greater international engagement in the Presevo Valley.
At our first meeting in Berlin today, we visited Finland's Ambassador Kai Sauer. A good connoisseur of the region, since Ambassador Suer was part of President Ahtisaari's team in the Kosovo dialogue process”, Kamberi wrote.
At the meeting, Kamberi demanded that the OSCE have increased attention to the situation in the Valley, emphasising on Albanian rights violations in this region.
“Since Finland will be the next OSCE leader, we laid out the need for added attention to O The SEU for the Presevo Valley”, he said.
He also thanked Ambassador Suer for the reception and support he has expressed to the demands of the Albanian community in southern Serbia.
“We thank Ambassador Sauron for his warm hospitality and support for our struggle for our violated rights”, Kamberi wrote.
