Defence Proposal on Thaci, Others's Thaci Proposal Publicise in The Hague Today

June 12th has been the deadline when Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi have been able to file the motion for dropping the charges. Meanwhile, the Specialised Prosecutor's Office had time to respond until July 7th.
The motion decision is expected to determine the course of this trial ongoing, followed by Periscope.
The protection of former KLA superiors has considered the case a weak prosecution, as well as stated that they expect positive results at the end of this trial.
Former Kosovo Liberation Army superiors Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselin, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi are in custody in The Hague from November 2020.
The Specialised Prosecutor's Office charges Thaci and others with charges of alleged war crimes. They have been declared innocent of all points of the indictment.
The trial against them began on April 3, 2023, nearly three years after confirming the indictment since former KLA leaders are held at the detention centre in The Hague.
The specialist has been constantly criticised for multiple editing and closure for the public.
Kosovo's Ombudsman, Naim Qeyaj, has expressed concern about the work of the Special Court. The cell has raised its doubts about whether the principles of fair and impartial judgment are being respected. /Kosovo priss
