Kosovo's Correcting Service has announced that it has undertaken a successful preventative action against an attempt to introduce smuggling into the sterile area of the correcting Centre in Dubrava. As indicated in the announcement issued on Facebook, following the acceptance of pro-active information and operational organisation in co-operation with the Kosovo Co-ordination Intelligence Unit, in co-ordination and under the organisation of the Dubrava corrective Centre Security Department, an immediate raid has been conducted.
Five black bags, wrapped and isolated with transparent insolators have been discovered during the search.
The bags were located and inside were found:
Suspected narcotic matter divided into several units, with a total weight of 98 grams (with wrapping);
Five Samsung brand phones, of which one had SIM cards set up, as well as two SIM unused cards.
This operation, the result of close co-operation between the Intelligence Unit, the QK Dubrava Security Department and responsible security officials, testifies to the continued commitment of the Kosovo Correcting Service to prevent any attempts to introduce smuggling and ensure a safe and controlled environment within the correct institutions. Kosovo's Correcting Service will decisively continue implementing strict control measures, aimed at preventing any attempt to introduce illegal materials prohibited within corrective institutions”, said further in the statement.
