After today's decision by the Department of Administrative Affairs of the Commercial Court to suspend the announcement of the Energy Regulatory Office ( ZRGE) for liberalisation of the energy market, as well as the appointment of security measures, pending final conviction, the American Economic Oda in Kosovo reiterates its call for the ZRE to immediately abolish its controversial decision to liberalise the energy market.
According to OECA's reaction, today's act, but also those of the first few weeks, confirm concerns raised by businesses and by Oda himself, further emphasising procedural and substantial shortcomings in the liberalisation process.
The judicial security created in recent months has caused tremendous confusion among businesses, undermining regulatory predictability and violating operational planning”, O said EAK in response sent to the media.
The American Oda says reforms, especially in critical sectors like energy, must be based on transparency, legal security and equal treatment for all.
“Therefore, the American Economic Oda calls for a comprehensive dialogue among all relevant hedars, including the Government of Kosovo, as well as the business community, to ensure that any further step towards market liberalisation is based on legal clarity, correct procedures and a commitment to economic justice”, was said in the response of the American Economic Ode to Kosovo. /Periscope/
