In a post on his social network “Truth Social”, Trump wrote after a telephone conversation with the Chinese leader:
I like President Xi of China, I've always liked him, and I'm always gonna like him, but he's a dick. MANY FOOOD AND PLAIN OUTHANY SUFFECTS TO MAKE A MAKE WITH IT.”
White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavet announced on Monday that Trump would hold a telephone conversation with President Xi this week, but without providing specific details.
This conversation is seen as attempts to avoid further escalation of trade tensions after the U.S. tariffs and Chinese responses.
Recently, an American trade court ruled that Trump had exceeded his competencies when it imposed a considerable number of tariffs on China and other countries, using a law of emergency powers.
However, within less than 24 hours, a federal appeals court suspended this decision to review the complaint filed by the government. The move virtually restores Trump's tariffs temporarily, leaving the issue open until the appeals ruling. /Periscope/
