The news was confirmed by Special Prosecutor's spokeswoman Arbnor Luta for Periscope.
“Reference to your request, we can confirm that Mr. Martin Berishaaj was interviewed Thursday by the Special Prosecutor, under the investigation that is being conducted against him”, Luta said.
Berisha has been accompanied to the Special Prosecutor by his lawyer, Tome Gashi.
He was first interviewed for three criminal acts in March 2024.
“Money extract”, “Avoiding the tax” and “forging or false reporting of income, gifts, other material benefits or financial obligations” were three criminal acts that Berisha was interviewed for.
On February 6th of this year, the Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina has launched investigations into Berisha, even in terms of the procedure to transport votes to the diaspora.
