France has ordered the withdrawal of 2.5 million cars equipped with “aborgag” which may explode in the event of crash and cause a series of deaths.
It comes after a fatal accident early in the month in Reims where a 37-year-old driver from C3 was hit in time by pieces of metal that flew after a small crash.
It's the last drama in the 20-year scandal of Japanese producer Takata, whose equipment was installed in almost all major automotive producers.
The Ministry of Transport issued orders to clear out of use cars containing “abrig” Takata, up to switching equipment.
It is thought that 35 people have died in the world as a result of “aborgag” and about 100 million vehicles have been withdrawn to several states. /Periscopi/
