In the request of May 15th 2025, the Union stresses that for more than two days, The ChM “Cleaning” has had it impossible to perform services because of the Communist decisions that have negatively affected the operation of the company.

One of the most problematic decisions has been the municipality's announcement of citizens since January 1st, 2025, they are not obliged to pay bills for garbage collection, causing a financial crisis that has blocked wages and supply of necessary equipment.

“We, the Regional Company Workers' Union for Waste Management “Cleaning”, address us with deep concern over the serious situation affecting our company and our workers. For more than two days. The ChM “Cleaning” is impossible to perform the services it is called for, as a result of the Pristina Community's actions that have negatively impacted the operation of the company.

The municipality's move to inform citizens that they are not obliged to pay bills for the collection of waste issued by the KR “Cleaning” from January 1st 2025, has caused a financial crisis in the company, unable to pay workers' salaries and supply with the necessary means for performing the” services.

The union stresses that workers, particularly those working on the front line of services, are facing major difficulties due to lack of financial means.

“-currently, KR workers “Cleaning”, especially those in operational units that are on the front lines of services, are facing serious difficulties due to lack of financial means and inability to carry out their daily tasks. This situation has negatively affected their well-being and the provision of essential services to Pristina citizens”.

The union requires close co-operation with all parties involved to find a sustainable solution guaranteeing the operation of the company and the well-being of the workers.

It is also required that financial means be provided for pay pay and supply with the necessary equipment for services.

Likewise, the union seeks its active involvement in decision-making processes, arguing that its voice is necessary to ensure informed and fair decisions.

“We believe it is essential that all parties involved co-operate to find a sustainable solution guaranteeing the functioning of the company and the well-being of workers. This includes providing the necessary financial means for paying salaries and providing the equipment needed for performing services.

As the KR Workers' Union “Cleaning”, we are convinced that our active involvement in all meetings and decision-making processes affecting the company is essential. Being direct representatives of the workers, it is imperative that our voice be heard and considered. Our involvement will ensure that decisions are more informed, fairer, and more suitable for reality on the ground, contributing to the overall welfare of workers”.

If the Union demands are not taken into account, KRC workers “Cleaning” have warned they will take further steps until conditions are met for work.

If no measures are taken to resolve this situation, we, the employees of the KR “Cleaning”, will be obliged to take further steps until the fulfillment of our conditions for work”, says the letter that Ardian Krasniqi, chairman of the KR Workers Union “Cleaning”.
