This request was made by two reports of the Special Court Administrative Office, and the decision was made on May 15th 2025.
According to DPS spokesman Michael Doyle, the TSK regulation allows judges to accept requests submitted after the deadline, in case there are convincing reasons.
Currently, the number of participating victims in the case is 156.
Doyle also spoke of the written admission of four witnesses to the 155th Rule. He showed that the request for another witness's testimony has been denied, for what “Justice Trust” has reportedly referred to the 29th witness in this case, which in October of 2023 had refused to testify, reports Beimiper Justice, broadcast Periscope.
While, in the court case against Hashim Thaci, Bashkim Smajt, Fadil Fazlius, Isni Kilajt and Hajredin Kuci, Doyle said the court of preliminary procedure extended the term for the Prosecutor to respond to preliminary defence motions in that case. He said that five preliminary motions have been submitted in this case so far.
Doyle also mentioned the Appeal hearings to Peter Shala, in which the defense had demanded that the sentence on their client be overturned and that Shala be acquitted.
Also, in this case, the prosecution has argued that Shala's appeal should be dismissed overall.
