The lack of market preparation and institutional support in this process is creating marked inequality in the market, risking competitiveness, serious harm to businesses, and direct consequences for the country's economy, including falling local production and losing jobs. For this reason, the business community has decided from Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00, to organise protests to express disappointment and concern over the decision of the Energy Regulatory Office on the violent exit of businesses to the free energy market. If institutions do not reflect and take concrete steps to address business demands, the protests will continue until they are realised. The Kosovo Economic Oda, on behalf of the business community, calls on institutions to reflect urgently and create a transitional phase for gradual preparation of businesses, with the goal of a sustainable and fair integration into the free energy market”, the Kosovo Economic Oda has announced.
