Despite numerous allegations weighing over the 34-year-old of origin from Kosovo, protected by lawyer Alessandra Nava, the prosecution's detailed investigations failed to confirm his responsibility for the event that took place on 7 March 2024 in Chiarano. According to investigative authorities, the evidence gathered is not enough to cope with a criminal process, and as a result, no further investigations are predicted unless new elements arise in the future.
Event On the morning of March 7th, Hajdin Kukiqi, 37, a worker at the Lafert company in Noventa di Piave, was shot by two masked men who had been approached by a scooter near his apartment. He was hit on foot and on the stomach, but survived a complicated surgical intervention at Traviso's hospital.
Since the hospital, Kukiqi had told investigators about a series of old disputes with his cousin Edmon Balaj, citing conflicts rich in property background and previous threats. He had indicated that Balaj was “the only person with whom had open issues”. Fearing possible revenge, he had sent his children to live in Germany with his wife's parents.
