Dear citizens,
Tomorrow is the 15th time we gather to expect the same outcome. Moreover, the end of this practice is not without results on the horizon. An even more hopeless opening of the season. In the middle, a series of unprecedented parliamentary procedures, which do not receive approval of a majority even when repeated 15 times.
In the end, citizens rightly frustrated how three months after the elections there are neither Parliament nor Government.
And the crisis continues. Not only this parliamentarians, but that truth outside. High prices shout, wages continue to remain insufficient, energy bills go up, and no major projects go on. The surrounding countries build airports, hospitals, and plants. Some of us find comfort in 48-hour shows without any results.
They expect reflection without any action. It would have to be perfectly clear, to the first party, that it does not have the most necessary thing in democracy: the majority. Things in democracy are done in large numbers, not in empowering, and much less instinct.
It should also be very clear to other parties that no one today has a majority. There is a lot of desire, each party builds governments for its own satisfactions, but a lot that their desire turns reality away.
That's why we need a solution.
Better than insisting on a repeat crisis.
Last week The LDK provided a solution. It, until now, remains the only proposed option on the stage. It's not ideal, but it still remains responsible and national. We agree there's no majority. We agree we're in crisis. We agree we need elections eventually. Let's all work on it; but until then, let's give the state a government of citizens immediate address to their problems. A National Transitional Government with limited mandate, agenda and joint tasks until the president's election.
Not to choose power, but to solve the crisis knot. Not to separate the state among parties, but to protect it from institutional paralysis.
In response to our proposal, unfortunately, we have heard only insistence on the same party desires that are not followed by a real majority. Even today, a week from giving the idea of 3-4 after boring sessions, Kosovo remains in the same situation.
The LDK welcomes any opportunity in its exit operation, including the joint meeting invited by the president. But for an initiative to succeed, it must be preceded by new ideas. Insisting the old, even at a meeting, means comfort and block.
The possible solution proposed by us remains as a multiprofit choice for the country, because, more than party wishes, Kosovo needs functional institutions.
We'll present this proposal at the meeting in question.
