Netanyah confirms: Israel Accepts American truce Proposal in Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has confirmed that Israel has accepted a new ceasefire proposal, submitted by US Middle East envoy Steve Whitkoff, Israeli media reported on Thursday.

This development comes at a tense moment between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas, who controls the Gaza Strip, where violent conflicts and exchanges of air and land attacks have developed for months.

The Hamas group announced earlier that it had received the ceasefire proposal from international mediators and was carefully reviewing it. So far, efforts at a lasting ceasefire have run into difficulties, causing civilian casualties and humanitarian crisis in the region.
