These elections in Kosovo, and all the procedures behind them dragged on a lot. Starting with the counting of votes, the certificate of results and much more was realized by the delay of this election process. But even more difficult became the situation with regard to the constitution, which seems to be not going to happen much longer, all because of the <x0 minusinal political framework that have taken place in the process.
The Vetevendosje movement, Albulen Haxhiun, has no longer been able to get the votes needed to take that position.
The PDK, LDK and AAK since April 15th have come out against Hadzi's vote because, according to them, it is a “divisive figure” and the Kosovo Assembly needs a “unifying configuration” to lead it. These parties hoping they will help VV and Kosovo unlock this situation - have proposed several other names that could get their votes for, but Vetevendosje has decided not to change Haxhi's name.
Disturbing has become the situation created in the Assembly, which even after 15 sessions is not being unblocked, Kosovo's Assembly is formed and continued with government formation procedures. Apart from the citizens of Kosovo, concerned are internationals.
The European Union in an answer to the news.net has said they are closely following developments and remain hopeful that the process of constitutionalising the Assembly will be completed soon.
“The government's rapid funding is essential for Kosovo to progress through important reforms in all sectors that will improve the quality of life and living standards of the people of Kosovo”, it is said in their response.
The European Union is also said to be ready for co-operation with the new government.
“The EU is ready to work closely with the future government once it is formed, and to continue to support Kosovo on its path towards European integration”, the EU has said about news.net.
Of the states of QUINT and the EU, their concern over the procrastination process has been shared by incumbent Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti at a meeting he has held Monday in the prime minister's office.
This “martoat” sessions are taking place for the first time in Kosovo's history since the first Kosovo Parliament was introduced.
To unblock the situation, Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, who has invited political party leaders to the meeting on Thursday 15 May, is also trying to find solutions.
President Osmani's adviser, Bekim Kupina, has told the news.net that all political parties have accepted her invitation to the meeting.
The 16th consecutive session of Kosovo's Assembly Construction will be held Thursday at 10:30, 48 hours after last session, which ended without results.
Now and several sessions, the first point of the agenda is the commission's vote for a secret vote, which is not being voted at all by the opposition, as they think it is unconstitutional to change the way they vote in half of Kosovo's constitutionalisation process.
The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo has sent it to the Constitutional Court for Commenting, the full document of decisions that have been made at the Kosovo Parliament's constitutional hearings.
The resolution of this “political player” by analysts and policy connoisseurs in the country is expected to occur after the political party leaders' meeting with President Vjosa Osmani, which is considered fair by them.
If the Kosovo Assembly's constitutionalisation does not occur, Osmani has the right to send the country to new elections (after agreeing between parties) and which could produce a different result for all political parties. The idea of new elections has been proposed by opposition parties, and according to them if Osman makes that decision, he would be welcome for them. /Periscope/
