Full Posting:
As our politicians behave like dungsmiths and continue to block the functioning of institutions, Kosovo has been losing its momentum for membership and for involvement in the Council of Europe's mining agenda.
More than for other reasons, this is happening due to non-co-ordination with our allies and lack of responsibility for implementing the Brussels and Ohrid agreements. No idea, vision or desire for the future of the country can be realised through electoral populisms and nationalists, unless we have wise policies and responsible politicians following diplomacy and steps necessary for empowering the Republic.
Even though the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe voted on April 16, 2024 PRO to recommend Kosovo as a new member, Kosovo has remained outside the agenda of the Council of Europe ministerial agenda, and at this meeting, which will be held on May 16th, May 2025.
A missed opportunity due to lack of responsibility and not lack of support from allies.
