Kosovo Convention Constituent Session Continues 13th Attempt

The Kosovo Assembly has announced the continuation of the constitutional session, which will take place today starting at 10:00. This decision has been disclosed through a media communique, stressing that the session will continue efforts to finalise the constitution -- a process that has faced numerous difficulties. [...]
Meanwhile, the 13th effort will be held to achieve the constitution -- a process that has already been three months since holding the 9 February elections. This is a critical moment, as political tensions and disagreements over the countries' leadership positions continue to deepen.
Albulen Haxhiu, candidate of the Vetevendosje Movement for Speaker of the Parliament, has failed to secure the majority of votes needed to take office, despite numerous efforts. Its candidacy continues to face strong objections from other parties, prompting the process of electing the Speaker of the Parliament to remain slow.
At the latest hearings, the head of the session, Avni Dehari, has proposed establishing a commission to organise the secret vote. This proposal, as well as Haxhiu's candidacy, has faced opposition to other parties, because this candidate does not deserve to represent the Kosovo Assembly. /Periscope/
