Since 1999, his name has been mentioned among the blood - related families that were killed in wartime by family members, says Luluta Sharani of Gjakova.

Sharan, who was killed on May 10th 1999 by husband, two sons and two neighbors, says the names of Serbs who participated in the expulsion and murder of Albanian civilians have been sent to the Prosecutor for ages.

“Speaking not only the name of [Millan] Radoichikis, but of all the others who have participated in murder”, says Sharani.

Under suspicions of involvement in war crimes in the 1998-1999 period, Pristina's Constitutional Court recently issued warrants for Milan Radocicin and 19 other people.

Radojic and others are charged with taking criminal acts that led to the torture and murder of 106 Albanian civilians in co-ordination.

Some victims' relatives, with whom Radio Free Europe spoke, said “knew” the names of members of Serbia's security forces and Serb civilians who participated in the killings in the Gjakova region.

In May 1999, we spent a 17 - year - old period of Bicuri. He is among the few survivors of the Serbian forces' shares, conducted from 7 May to 10 May 1999.

Bicuri says he witnessed those who executed his father, 47-year-old Ferati, and two uncles, 49-year-old Esatin and 37-year-old Necdet.

I didn't know the names, but I taught them after the case has happened”, Bicuri relates.

Both Bicuri and Sharan say they have personally not seen Milan Radociqi, but confirmed that they have heard his name as participants in torture, deportation and murder of Albanians.

The charges Radovic and others are charged with

The group of suspects consists of 20 people, including members of the military and police forces, as well as Serbs outside these state structures.

Part of this group, according to the Kosovo Prosecutor, are: Milovan Kovacevic, Radomir Coliq, Milos Joshan, Predrag Ristic, Srdjan Krstic, Lubisa Obradovic, Zivko Sariq, Spaso Saric, Lizzar Draskovq, Zvonko Ristic, Darko Gligojevic, Cedomir Bozovic, Vadic Bozovic, Robert Dobrunaj, Radomir Rakovq, Lubisa Rakovik, Milospovac, Miloanqa, Skosavova, Skosavova, Sqovagogogosavov and Tomravov, and Tomov.

The prosecution suspects that this group forced civilians, “separating men from women and children, and then killed a total of 106 Albanian national civilians”.

These criminal acts, the group allegedly committed them to the 1998-1999 period, at the site called “Talici's Bridge” in Gjakova, from 7 May to 10 May 1999.

Most of the bodies of those killed in the period between May 7th and 10th 1999 were found after the war, near Belgrade, in Batajnica, Serbia.

The group is also accused of other criminal acts, including the arrest and imprisonment of more than 300 Albanian civilians, who allegedly held “in improvised prisons where they had no human treatment”.

The works Radojcik and others, according to the Penal Code, are punishable from five years in prison to life imprisonment.

So far, the individual responsibilities of the suspects for whom the warrant has been issued are not known.

At the same time, Kosovo's Special Prosecutor has not announced rising the indictment.

Serbia's Justice Ministry, until the publication of this text, has not responded to Radio Free Europe's question if it is aware of the details of Kosovo's Special Prosecutor's decision to start investigations into the accused, and whether there has been any contact with Pristina concerning the case.

The publication of the warrants at this time calls the Fund for Humanitarian Law in Kosovo to be meaningless, Bekim Blakaj.

With this action, he says, more space has been given to suspects to avoid justice until he expresses surprise at the delay in investigating the case.

It's a little bit to wonder why the subject hasn't been prepared before. It wasn't investigated. We know that one of them [Millan Radoicic], years ago has been present in Kosovo. It has moved through Kosovo and could have been arrested”, Blakaj says.

“We know that Radoiciq has been involved in politics. It was also in Pristina. So it could easily have been arrested”, Blakaj points out.

In addition to this talk of arrest, Radoicic is wanted by Kosovo institutions, even for the September 24th 2023 armed attack on Baniskka of Zvecan.

The responsibility for the attack, where a member of the Kosovo Police was killed, took Radojic himself.

Family Waitings

Why do they believe that this group's investigation began with much delay, the victims ' families wish there was justice.

Hope is said not to be lost yet.

I took my dad's body apart. I still have my father's body buried without my head. But we hope in justice. Better late than ever, ” is expressed by Bicuri.

The body of Bictur's father and two uncles were found after the war in the mass cemetery near the Serbian capital, Batajnica.

The bodies of the six family members of Luljeta Sharan, who wishes to be arrested and sentenced to all suspects in those murders, were found in the same country.

The late “has reminded the prosecution of what to do. Our only comfort is justice”, Sharan says. /Radio Free Europe/
