Government Returns to Active Military Service in Reserve

The decision, proposed by the Defence Ministry and approved by the Council of Ministers, aims to meet the needs of the Armed Forces with qualified personnel and strengthen the country's defence capacities.

Under this decision, the military who have previously been in the ministry, officers, NCOs or soldiers or seamen, will be able to return to active service when military structures need their specialty or experience. After submitting the documents, the candidates will undergo the assessment by relevant commissions and security control.

The shortlisted candidates will be named as active military, later appointed to the respective post. They will guard the degrees they had at the moment of exit and will have no right to advance during the contract period.

The decision also envisions that in cases of partial or general mobilization, return to service could be made without application, with direct announcement by military institutions.
