Albania's Defence Minister Pirro Ving has announced that 25 May will launch one of the largest multinational military exercises, known as “Defender Europe 25”.
He wrote on Facebook that the exercise would be conducted by the European Command of the United States, until he added that the exercise would be held in Kosovo as well.
On May 25th, Albania welcomes one of the largest multinational military exercises: Defender Europe 25, headed by the US European Command (USEUCOM). NATO and partner forces will be trained in Albania and Kosovo for the protection of critical objects, offensive and defence operations, as well as for security at key diplomatic points. An interoperability test and a clear message: NATO is united”, the minister wrote.
Defence Minister Ejup Macedonia had also announced training in Kosovo.
He had said preparations for this massive military exercise are under way as planned.
