European Council President Antonio Costa has said he would like to have escalation so the measures can be lifted.
“These measures are related to the need to de-tradition tensions in the region and north of the country. And what I want is that as soon as we get this escalation, then we can move forward and get rid of these measures. I hope that recent events do not represent a new trend, but that they are the exception that confirms the rule that you are fully committed to this European path to de-tradition and, as Mrs. President said yesterday, to engage in this dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina”.
We recently appointed a new representative to facilitate this dialogue, and this dialogue is an essential element in this common European path to build a common future in the European Union”.
