CEC Sets for Destruction of February 9th Election Material

This worker aims to support post-election analysis and contribute to improving the integrity and functionality of election processes in the country. The Venice Commission, known for its expertise in constitutional and electoral issues, offers technical assistance and participates in election monitoring missions under the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
At the next point of the agenda, The CEC made a decision on paying 130 people engaged as staff at polling stations in diplomatic representations and staff committed to withdrawing mail shipments to Kosovo's Assembly elections, held on February 9th 2025. By the decision,
Also, the CEC decided on the destruction of the election material from the Kosovo Parliament elections, which were held on February 9th 2025.
CEC member from the Council for Election Operations, Arian Elshani, indicated that among the materials which will be subject to destruction are balloting, voter lists, subject and candidate results forms, etc. Materials that are part of the investigation by law enforcement bodies will be preserved until the conclusion of relevant procedures, reports Online Economy, broadcast Periscope.
Following the meeting, the CEC made its decision on completing and changing two sublegal acts: Elections No. 03,2024 Creation, Confirmation and Consumption of Voter List and Election Order No. 10/2024 for balloting and brochures.
At the conclusion of the meeting order, the CEC approved the requirement for replacing the member of the municipal Assembly in Fushe-Kosovo. CEC member Sami Hamiti of the Council for Legal Affairs announced that according to Mr. Artan Aslan has resigned from this position after being elected deputy of the Kosovo Parliament and instead appointed the next candidate, Qerim Gara. /Periscope/
